Obtaining and Contributing Data in the NeuroBioBank Data Repository within the NIMH Data Archive

NeuroBioBank Data Repository

Being a central hub for numerous world-class biospecimen collections, we believe that sharing genomic data with qualified investigators would promote robust and reproducible research, encourage a wide spectrum of collaboration, and expedite the progress of future research avenues.

The NeuroBioBank Data Repository, within the NIMH Data Archive (NDA), houses genome wide array genotypes and whole genome short-read sequencing datasets obtained from specimens in the NeuroBioBank inventory. This data repository will also serve to house additional genomic and transcriptomic data that may be generated by investigators using specimens obtained via the NeuroBioBank.

To access, search, and analyze the dataset in NDA, apply here. Once approved, you will be able to access the data in collection #3917. A translation table is available in the Supporting Documentation section of the collection to allow matching with primary NeuroBioBank subject IDs.

For more information about NDA access, please visit NDA Tutorials or contact the help desk NDAHelp@mail.nih.gov.

NeuroBioBank Data Sharing

Researchers conducting studies using NeuroBioBank specimens are encouraged to share their data following the Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) guidelines of NIH Data Management and Sharing policy. Genomic and/or transcriptomic data generated from NeuroBioBank specimens are welcome to be submitted to the NDA.
